Today we'll discuss the following artists, illustrators, and contributors to the field of entomology:

Assignment:

Use a mid-tone paper (made or purchased, as demonstrated in class) to draw or paint a beetle in black and white. We'll sketch the anatomy of a beetle in class and you'll complete your anatomical study independently.

We'll use this example by Mathurin Meheut (1882-1958) as an example.
