Animals that lie in wait for their prey have squat, muscular physiques and the ability to spring onto their prey. Hind legs are especially powerful for springing and short sprints.

The group of animals that lie in wait includes lions, tigers, leopards, panthers, pumas, and domestic cats.

1) First, draw the head at an angle as seen below. Then use the length of the head as your unit of measure to draw the diagram, as below.

The length of the body is approximately 3 and 1/5 heads long.

The height is approximately 2 and 1/2 heads high.

2) Once you have drawn the diagram, divide the height in two and draw a horizontal dotted line. This will help you with the joint placement.
